Objective:
Get Your Balloons
to the Finish Line First!
Amount of Players:
6 or More.
Supplies Needed:
(4) Latex Balloons
Rules:
Divide the group into
two teams, then divide each team into pairs. This is a relay race, and the
racecourse can extend across a large field or around a building. Mark a
start and finish line. Teams of pairs space themselves equally from one
end of the racecourse to the other. Pairs stand back to back with elbows
linked. Blow up 4 latex balloons and give two each to the first pair from
each team. One balloon is held in each hand of each player. When the
leader says "Go", the first two pairs make their way to the next pair of
linked players. The first pair transfers its balloons to the next pair.
The first team to cross the finish line wins.
Balloon Battle
Objective:
Be the last to not
let your balloon get popped!
Amount of Players:
2 or More.
Supplies Needed:
Latex Balloons & String (Enough for all players)
Rules:
Divide the group into
two teams. Tie the balloons to everyone's ankles. Say "go" and watch the
teams trying to burst the other team's balloons first. The team with the
last balloon wins. As your balloon is burst you withdraw from the game.
Balloon Buzz
Objective:
Get your balloon to
land near the target, by letting the air out!
Amount of Players:
2 or More.
Supplies Needed:
3 or 4 Latex Balloons, and a Target
Rules:
Have the group form a
line or a circle. Have everyone inflate a balloon and release it in the
direction of a target on the floor. Score 1 point for the closest balloon
and 15 points for a direct hit. You do not need to keep score .....a small
prize can be passed out to the closest players until at the end they all
receive a prize.
Balloon Pop
Objective:
Find a Balloon that is
the Winner!
Amount of Players:
2 or More Players
Supplies Needed:
Balloons & Prizes
Rules:
Place notes inside
un-inflated balloons. One or two of the notes should indicate that this
balloon is a winner. Inflate the balloons and hang them around or hide
them around the house or yard. Tell each child to go find a balloon and
then one at a time, pop them to see if their note is a winner. Have some
small prizes for the winners.
Balloon Pumping Race
Objective:
Teams Race to Blow up Balloons until they Explode!
Amount of Players:
4 or More Players
Supplies Needed:
Balloons & Bicycle Tire Pumps
Rules:
Divide into teams of
two. Buy a couple of balloon pumps or bike pumps and attach a balloon to
the nozzle. The kids have to pump the pumps or bounce up and down on the
pumps until the balloon bursts. The first to burst wins. If you only have
two pumps you can set up a small tournament single elimination style until
one team wins.
Balloon Relay
Objective:
Be the first team to
race to the stomping area and pop your balloon!

6 or More Players

Balloons
Rules:
Divide the children
into two or more equal teams and stand them in a line. Give each team ten
balloons in a basket. The first in each line takes a balloon and runs to
the other side of the room/yard/area and sits or stomps on the balloon to
pop it. After popping the balloon they run back to the line and tag the
next person who does the same thing. The game goes on until one team has
popped all of their balloons.
Barnyard
Bungle
Objective:
A Kid's Party game that you search for other Animals Like You!
Amount of Players:
6 or more Players
Supplies Needed:
Papers with Names of Animals & Prizes
Rules:
This is a child's game for parties. Each child is given the name of an
animal with three children having the same name. No one is allowed to tell
another which animal he is. At the signal each child makes the noise of
the animal that he has been given. The first group of three animals to
find each other and sit down are the winners.
Big Moose Hunter
Objective:
The Moose tries to
reach the open spot in the circle before the Hunter gets it.
Amount of Players:
6 or More
Supplies Needed:
None
Rules:
Four or more people
form a circle facing in and hold hands. One person is chosen as the
"moose" goes around the circle ducking in and out of the circle going
under peoples arms. At some point they touch a person on the head as they
pass and that person becomes the hunter. The moose continues to run around
the circle dodging in and out of people while the hunter must follow
exactly in the moose's footsteps. The moose races for the open spot in the
circle with the hunter in pursuit. If the moose arrives safely, the hunter
goes into the center of the circle or the "jail" and the old moose chooses
a new moose. If the hunter catches the moose before arriving at the open
spot, the moose goes into the circle and the hunter becomes the next
moose. Play continues until there are so many people in the middle that a
circle can't be formed around them.
Birds Have
Feathers
Objective:
A game similar to Simon
Says - Don't flap your wings at the wrong time!
Amount of Players:
6 or More
Supplies Needed:
None
Rules:
One player is leader.
He/she and all the others flap their arms like birds. He/she calls out
names of something with feathers. If a player flaps his wings on a calling
that doesn't have feathers he/she's out. The leader flaps his wings on
almost all things to confuse the group and calls as rapidly as possible.
"Eagles have feathers, roosters have feathers, babies have feathers, etc."
Blindfold Cotton Ball Race
Objective:
Transfer as many
cotton balls from one bowl to another using only a spoon. The catch?
You'll be blindfolded.
Amount of Players:
4 or More
Supplies Needed:
Bowls, cotton balls,
blindfolds, spoons.
Rules:
This games works best when you play two players at a time. Blindfold the
players and give each a spoon. Place two bowls in front of each player,
one of which Is has 20 cotton balls. The other bowl is empty. Say go! Each
player must transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to the other in 30
seconds. The trick is that they are so light you can't really feel them on
you spoon and this makes it hard. The winner is the player who transfers
the most.
